the initial slog with catherine, andrew and michelle
little man ahead
On little man. my heavy body felt like it was going to be blown off the hills. apparently, according to a guy with a wild speed reader it was nearly 60mph
next up skiddaw. hoping somehow to be less windy
looking back to little man and keswick
approaching the summit of skiddaw. funnily, moving just a few meters to the left and the wind was gone. a few feet back and we were close to being blown over. at least we had the visibility.
looking down to longside edge and bassenthwaite lake
summit of skiddaw
heading back
we returned mostly the same way but made for a wainwright ticking detour to lonscale fell.
a faint track down beside whit back
one of these epic views from the well known latrigg. an easy and popular walk from keswick
