Leaving Seathwaite Farm
Seathwaite Fell and Stockley Bridge
Looking back from close to the top of Grains Gill
Boulder field on Ill Crag
The final clamber up to the summit of Scafell Pike. It's there somewhere.
Lee's first summit of Scafell Pike
On Mickledore with a decision to make. Left or right for Scafell?
We took the steep scree slope to the left. Initially very steep and very loose.
Briefly out of the clouds we can see Great Moss and the River Esk
Foxes Tarn Gully showing the recent rainfall
Lee making his way up with extra care on the slippery rocks.
Nearing the top of the first section
Now thats a pose! Scafell Summit
Next we backtracked down Foxes Tarn Gully, up Mickledore and Scafell Pike and then in the direction of the corridor route.
Back out of the clouds again. Great End and Broad Crag
Piers Gill
Following the Corridor Route
Not much chance of seeing Great Gable's impressive form today.
Derwent Water way off in the distance
Blencathra
The cloud continues to lift
A narrower section of the Corridor Route and a good view of Piers Gill
