as part of my stag do we decided to do the north ridge of tryfan. several of the guys hadn't done it before and didn't know what to expect either. pretty much from the start i had to pack away my nice camera and resort to the camera phone as the weather was pretty grim. there wasn't a great deal to see either as the cloud was pretty much down to the base. WE SPLIT INTO TWO GROUPS OF 4. IT SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA ON THIS SORT OF CLIMB AS THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN A FAIR BIT OF WAITING AROUND OTHERWISE. WE CHOSE TO DESCEND VIA THE HEATHER TERRACE AND BACK ROUND TO THE FOOT OF THE NORTH RIDGE. IT SEEMS THAT EACH TIME I GO UP THE NORTH RIDGE, I SEEM TO TACKLE IT SLIGHTLY DIFFERENTLY. THAT'S WHAT MAKES IT SUCH A GOOD ROUTE.
NOT LONG INTO THE CLIMB. THIS IS THE ONE AND ONLY PHOTO TAKEN WITH MY NICE CAMERA ON THE ASCENT.
