Craig y Mwn from the Retreat campsite
Pistyll Rhaeadr
60 feet higher than Niagara Falls
Heading off to the top of the waterfall
Following the well stepped path
Looking over to the Craig y Mwn cliffs
a closer look
A large random rock. I'm sure there is some sort of welsh folklore story as to how it got here.
Lovely and sunny
Andy loving the view
Where the 240ft fall begins
I've yet to see this river with much force. Still enough to sweep you off your feet, so much care must be taken here.
Andy day dreaming about wild camping around here.
continuing on to Trum Felen
Looking back as we make our way up Trum Felen.
Not sure what is over there. Another day maybe
Following the fence up to Moel Sych
Moel Sych is temporarily topped with cloud and the pointed Moel yr Ewig
A steep slog to the top of Moel Sych
Moel Sych. Andy was pleased to capture this rock in flight at the cairn
Looking out from Craig y Llyn down to Llyn Lluncaws
Coffee break
Bottoms molded into the peat and swinging our legs over the edge
zooming in to see our descent route down Cwm Nant y Llyn
Looking down to Cwm Maen Gwynedd
Andy leading the way on Moel yr Ewig
continuing on the Cadair Berwyn Ridge
approaching Cadair Berwyn summit
Happy at the top
The pointy top of Moel yr Ewig
Cadair Berwyn summit trig
Looking out to Snowdonia from Cadair Berwyn
our descent path down to Llyn Lluncaws
Admiring the waters of LLyn Lluncaws
Heading down Cwm Nant y Llyn
back to Pistyll Rhaeadr and the car park
